UniSA Presentation - Role of the Surveyors Board

On Monday 4th November 2019, nine UniSA Master in Surveying Students were invited to an evening presentation in the Boardroom of the Surveyors Board SA

 

Mr Joe D’Aloia Chair of the Surveyors Board SA presented to the students the Role of the Board and the procedures for students to follow once they become Registered Surveying Graduates.

The Calder Award

The Surveyors Board of South Australia celebrates annually the J.B and J.W. Calder Award. Awarded to members of the Surveying profession for contributions and high achievements in the profession.

  

This year the recipient nominated by any member of the Institution of Surveyors Australia, South Australian Division (ISASA) was the 30th Consecutive recipient.

Surveyors Board SA Annual General Meeting 2019

The Annual General Meeting for the Surveyors Board SA was conducted on Wednesday 18 September 2019. 

 

There were 87 members at the meeting and a further 6 Emeritus Surveyors as special guests to celebrate the 30th Annual Calder Award.

Signing of UniSA Funding Agreement

In August 2019 The renewed Education Funding Agreement between ISASA and University of South Australia has been signed for 2020 – 2024 committing a further $500,000 to the education of Licensed Surveyors in our state.

SurveyingSA Pinery Fire Project

On November 25, 2015 a catastrophic bushfire burned through the Pinery area of South Australia. 

 

In early 2017, following discussions between Alex Zimmerman, the Pinery Fire Recovery Team Co-Ordinator and the SurveyingSA committee members, the Pinery Bushfire Recovery Project was launched.
